I qualified in Glasgow as a registered mental health nurse in 1988 and have over 20 years experience in a range of settings including Continuing Care of Older Adults, Old Age Mental Health Assessment Unit, Acute Psychiatric Admission Ward and Community Mental Health Teams for Older People and adults. I attained my BSc Community Mental Health Nursing (with Specialist Practitioner Qualification) here at GCU in 2000, going on to complete a PgC Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (2006) and an MSc Community Health (2008) My area of special interest is mental health in old age. I am also a Trainer for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
